 Dear
friends,
I'd like to take this opportunity to send a message
of comfort, love and hope to all my friends in
this difficult time, and to inform you of the changes
in my scheduled performances this weekend.
Until
this morning I was hoping to
make my fifteenth annual journey
to New England for the New Hampshire
Highland Games - one of my favourite
festivals of the year. Due to
flight cancellations and airport
closures, I regretfully have
to concede that I am grounded
here in California.
To
all the regular attendees at
the games - I will miss you!
The New Hampshire Games will
be proceeding as scheduled and
my Friday night concert will
be more than ably handled by
Halali - a group which combines
the fiddling, singing, dancing
talents of Hanneke Cassel, Lissa
Schneckenburger and Laura Cortese.
As
I am unable to get to New Hampshire,
I have accepted the request to
perform this Saturday evening,
September 15, at the 5th Annual KVMR
Celtic Festival right
here on my own doorstep - at
the Nevada County Fairgrounds
in Grass Valley. Anyone who can
make it, please come along for
a great feast of music and dance
and an opportunity to be together
as a community.
